John Travers is the Controller/Operations Manager for the Kansas City law firm of Case Linden. Case Linden is a growing regional law firm engaged in the prosecution and defense of civil claims throughout Kansas and Missouri for local, regional, national and international clients. John was the first employee of the firm in 2001 and since then he has designed, built and implemented all business systems and procedures for the firm. He is responsible for supervising all aspects of financial management including development and management of the firm's operating budget, supervising all aspects of the firm's facilities, information technology and human capital as well as their business development and client retention efforts.
Brad Borden is the Firm Administrator at Burdett, Morgan, Williamson, & Boykin, LLP in Amarillo,TX. BMWB is a 20-lawyer firm which provides businesses, non-profits and individuals with a wide array of legal services in many areas of the law, including: real estate, administrative, banking, lending, collections, oil and gas, estate planning, probate, intellectual property, employment, and business entity formation and succession.The early part of Brad's working career was in college coaching and teaching. Brad was hired as the growing firm's first administrator in 2013.This career path might appear unusual at first glance. However, the role of college head coach is much like running a small business (leading, planning, budgeting, purchasing, fund-raising, supervising, and recruiting) leading to a smooth transition. Brad manages all business aspects of the firm including billing and accounting, HR, IT systems, marketing, and recruiting. While at BMWB, the firm has migrated from an on-site IT/server system to a fully cloud based environment. The firm also converted from Tabs3 to ProLaw in 2014. Sandra Haislet is the Firm Administrator for Practus, LLP, a 100% virtual law firm with attorneys throughout the United States focusing on Commercial Litigation, Financial Services, Healthcare, Labor & Employment, Insurance, Tax, Trusts & Estates, Trademarks and Patent work. Sandra has managed small to Medium size firms since 1999 with a focus in finance. She has over 10 years’ experience using Prolaw in two prior law firms along with one a successful migration from Omega. Sandra is currently migrating Practus from Tabs3 to Prolaw with the intent to utilize Workspace, PaperlessPerforma, eBillingHub and other Thomson Reuters partner software integrations. Jordan Schuetzle is the Director Proposition Strategy and Market Development for Thomson Reuters’ midsize law firm segment. Before joining Thomson Reuters, he practiced law for eight years, with a focus on business law for early stage startups, technology commercialization, and venture capital and angel investing. He regularly leads CLE sessions for attorneys and was an adjunct assistant professor for years. Jordan passionately follows new technology and regulatory trends affecting the legal industry and the practice of law.
